“ We will be in the downstairs bar. As you come in walk through the bar and the stairs are at the back. We will be there to welcome you. You must buy your own drinks but there will be nibbles about 8pm to make sure you don't starve! ”

At each meeting GAAPweb will come armed with the latest news in the world of finance and accountancy, but the agenda is up to you. What do you want to know? What will help your career? Do you have questions on a specific subject? Maybe your fellow professionals as well as GAAPweb will have the answers?

We can't promise to know the answers to everything at the Meetup but we will always come back with the answers either before or at the next Meetup.

    The building blocks are there and made to size ,all that is needed now is the mortar to put them together.It was a fantastic forum, there is need to brainstorm on the next meet up.The idea is great, and its success depends wholly on the full participation of the registered candidates.

    There is no agenda as such. I am inviting agenda items from the attendees, after all you guys know what you want to know! Recruitment of ethnic minorities is not a topic we will cover, its not a relevant accountancy topic and is more associated with direct recruiters not a jobsite where we have no direct influence over the recruitment process. Suggested agenda items are: credit crunch, further study, working overseas etc

    What is the Agenda like? Or is it an open forum discussion? Their are pertinent issues that need to be discussed especially on the strings attached to recruitment of ethinic minorities i.e UK experience
